Being the main theatre company associated with UNL, the Nebraska Repertory Theatre is where I have done the most management work. Working with mainly UNL professors, it was a great place to make mistakes and learn. It was through my work at the Rep that I found most of the connections to my work outside of the UNL program. Below are the productions I worked on here.

My Work Here

  • As my first proper stage management position with the Rep, I was excited to get to show what I had learned. This production required intense props tracking, including edible props, and the operation of a turntable. I had to work closely with my assistant to effectively manage so many moving pieces.

  • As the ASM to this large scale puppet show, there was much to keep track of. A complete rewrite 2 weeks before opening lead this to being a rapidly changing backstage situation with well over 50 different puppets distributed among 8 actors. One scene even required me and a crew member to operate puppets onstage.

  • Sense and Sensibility was the first large scale production with Equity actors that I was a part of. Being the assistant under a fellow student, this production required me to always stay 3 steps ahead so the manager could stay in the moment. I created french scenes, tracked props, choreographed chairs and maintained the backstage during the show.
